David Auerbach, Co-Founder.

David is responsible for raising capital, business development, and building partnerships. Previously, David worked at Ignia Fund in Mexico and ran Partnerships, Policy, and Outreach at Endeavor. He was the Deputy Chair for Poverty Alleviation at the Clinton Global Initiative in 2005-2006, and taught in China for two years. David is a Legatum Fellow, a Rainer Arnhold Fellow, and an Echoing Green Fellow. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BA with distinction from Yale University.

Lindsay Stradley, Co-Founder.

Lindsay oversees the growth of Sanergy. She has developed operating systems and business training for Bridge International, was a manager at Google in Sales & Operations, co-founded a charter high school in post-Katrina New Orleans, and was a Teach for America Corps Member. She is a Rainer Arnhold Fellow. Lindsay holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, where she was a Seibel Scholar and President of MIT Sloan Net Impact, and a BA from Yale University, where she graduated with Phi Beta Kappa honors.

Ani Vallabhaneni, Co-Founder.

Ani oversees the expansion of Sanergy’s technical operations, including engineering and internal systems and processes. Previously, Ani turned around a chain of dialysis clinics for low-income patients in the Philippines. With a background in technology and operations, he has built startups in India and US. Ani is a Legatum Fellow, Draper Richards Kaplan Fellow and an Echoing Green Fellow. He holds an MBA from MIT Sloan and a BS from Washington University in St. Louis.

Sanj Sanampudi, Chief Financial Officer

Sanj Sanampudi brings over a decade of corporate finance experience to Sanergy as Chief Financial Officer. Over the past year, Sanj has led the team’s strategic planning processes, which has resulted in a doubling of sales and fast-tracking of R&D initiatives. Prior to joining Sanergy, Sanj worked in both start-ups and large multinationals in New York City. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Finance at Return Path, a late-stage data and software start-up, where he was responsible for financial planning, fundraising, and mergers and acquisitions.
Becky Auerbach, Business Development

Becky is responsible for business development at Sanergy. She brings four years of experience in financial, grant, procurement and contractual management pertaining to multimillion dollar projects in conflict and transition environments, including earthquake recovery in Haiti and health sector development in West Bank/Gaza. She holds a BA in political science and global health from Duke University.

Churchil Ododa, Fresh Life Sales

Churchil is our Fresh Life Sales Manager, bringing over 15 years of experience in sales management to the team. Prior to joining Sanergy, Churchil was the Channel Development Partner in charge of Sales and Distribution at Centum Ltd., where he led expansion into new markets and new product development. Churchil holds a Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree from Moi University.

Patrick Lang’at, Fresh Life Customer Onboarding

Patrick manages Fresh Life customer onboarding. Prior to joining Sanergy, Patrick worked at Indo Africa Finance Ltd as a Branch Manager, International House Branch. He was tasked with general management of the branch, marketing activities, and ensuring the profitability of the branch and company as a whole.


Joseph Githinji, Customer Support

Joseph manages Fresh Life brand awareness. He has over nine years of experience in marketing, including tourism marketing for Kenya, community development work with SNV/Netherlands Development Organization, and branding for Kenya National Library.  He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Nairobi, a post graduate diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK) and is finalizing an MBA at the United States International University.

Michael Hahn, Product Design

Michael is responsible for product development at Sanergy. Before Sanergy he led sanitation marketing product development processes for iDE, WSP, and UNICEF. He was a recent Fulbright Fellow in Cambodia and has focused on product design in developing countries throughout his career. He is a member of the “Hello. We Are” design collective. Mike holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Industrial Design from the Rhode Island School of Design.

Michael Lwoyelo, Engineering Operations

Michael oversees the Engineering Operations Team, including manufacturing, on-site installation, waste collection, and waste processing. Michael is a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer who championed manufacturing and service sector improvement projects in the UK and in Kenya at Faiveley Transport UK, Wrigley East Africa, and Bridge International. He holds a Masters in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing & Management from the University of Manchester.

Alex Manyasi, Government Relations

Alex establishes and maintains Sanergy’s relationships with the Kenyan national government, government agencies, county governments, and stakeholders. He is a leader in government relations, having advocated for improved business environments in his previous employments. Alex holds a diploma in Marketing from Kenya Polytechnic University College, a BA in Business Administration from Kenya Methodist University, and an MBA from Presbyterian University of East Africa.

Robin Farnworth, Talent

Robin heads Sanergy’s Talent team. Prior to joining Sanergy, Robin designed and implemented One Acre Fund’s East Africa recruitment strategy, and was a leader on the talent team for Engineers Without Borders Canada. Robin holds a B.Sc. in Engineering Physics from the University of British Columbia.
